Phone seems to be eating mp3s.
I've been having this problem for awhile, and it seems to pertain to a bunch of smartphones, so I'm wondering if anybody has found a fix for it. I have an LG Lucid 3, and a 128 GB SD card. Essentially, my phone seems to selectively eat the music I put on it. It doesn't happen to all of it, but sometimes when I copy/paste full albums (regardless of file type, I've converted these and it happened anyway) to my phone's sd card, they'll play off the phone for about 5 minutes before they're eaten. Suddenly the file won't play, giving me a "Sorry, this file cannot be played" OR "Sorry, this file type is not supported" message. When I open the folder where the files are supposed to be, they're empty. It only happens to some of the albums I put on my phone, and they're all mp3s. I've read that it's a KitKat update problem, a file type problem, a bit rate problem... and nobody has a real solution that has worked for me. Other music player apps (using the default one) don't play the files, probably because the phone eats them. The problem is so random that I'm afraid to format the SD card, lest the music I already managed to put on suddenly not work. Any ideas?
