Alternative to cable, mifi, hot-spot for internet data?

My NJ condo is hard-wired for FIOS and I don't want to lock into a 2 year plan. I'm tired of contracts and cable companies and the whole thing really. I've been using my iphone hotspot for the past few months, but it adds up fast when they charge overage. Are their any other options where I can get lots or unlimited data? via
