Hello,

I've recently purchased a new phone, and wanted to give my old Galaxy S3 i9300 to someone else. The phone is on CM 10.2 (when I last used it I had CM 11 on it, but I downgraded to 10.2 since it was more stable). I had problems with the old battery: erratic discharge, refusal to charge past a certain percentage etc... I thought it was due to the battery being old, so I purchased a brand new original Samsung battery.

Unfortunately this did not fix my issues at all. After putting in the new battery, I turned off the phone and left it to charge for the night. After 12 hours of charging in a turned off state, the phone was still only at 73%.

I tried using a different charger (the one from my OnePlus, which works fine on the One), and it still does not charge past that percentage. It does charge up to around that level, and then just stops charging (even though the phone indicates it is charging).

The issue cant be due to the ROM or anything like that, since I installed the CM 10.2 stable release on it, which I have used for years without any battery issues.

Anyone knows what is the issue, or how can it be fixed?
