No devices in Android Studio

I am brand new to Anroid development, and I am already at my wits end trying to get my PC to recognize my device. I have a Verizon LG G3 and I'm on Windows 7, and no matter what I do, Android Studio and adb refuse to list my device. There is a great deal of troubleshooting out there for this issue, but I have yet to find a solution that has changed anything. I am beyond certain that USB debugging is enabled. I have downloaded and installed countless drivers, all of them claiming to fix the issue. I have switched between MTP, PTP, and Charge Only dozens of times over. I've used a number of different USB cables and USB ports. I've restarted both my PC and my phone many times in the process. I've used USBDeview and Device Manager to confirm that the devices are definitely there. I have never seen a result other than Android Studio listing "Nothing to show" under "Choose a running device", and the 'adb devices' command printing "List of devices attached" with nothing but blank space under it.

I am completely out of ideas. Does anyone here by chance have any of their own?
