iPad vs. Chromebook. Whose side are you on?

I am a tech specialist at a local private school. Currently the school is moving to a 1-1 classroom (meaning every student gets their own technology to use to supplement and expand their educational tools). If you were a student today, or are, would you be more confident using an iPad or an entry-level Chromebook in your day-to-day studies? Bonus points if you include the "why".
