Just bought an Android phone, is it good?, can you help me with rooting?

Hi, yesterday I bought an android phone. Im looking for some advice about rooting aswell as your opinion about the purchase

The phone is MyWiGo city I bought it for 170€

Specs:

-2GB RAM

-4 Cores CPU 1,3 GHz

-5,5 inch 1280x720 screen

-Android 4.4.2 kitkat

the only thing I know is that rooting is the jailbreak for iOS equivalent in Android (I used to have a jailbroken iphone)
