Think my Phone got a virus/malware

Every now and then, especially when turning on the screen, the browser opens with a typical ad link which redirects me to the play store. Which app varies a lot, but i have had Facebook messenger be one, other times it's games and such. Mostly backing out before it loads the play store. Like if you were to click an ad, but i don't click any.

I don't have any risky programs, and i have tried running various antivirus programs found on the Play store. That includes AVG, Malwarebytes and a few others. Also used AVG before i got the problem.

It's a HTC One M7 (Norwegian/European) and i got the problems shortly after updating the phone with HTC programs (Which is done through the play store) which is the only point in time where i can describe it.

Anyone have a similar problem, and a potential solution?
