SMS/MMS Transfer - Android-to-Android. Simple solution?
I have a stock HTC M7 (Verizon), and am planning to purchase the Galaxy S6. I would like to transfer all of my SMS and MMS in a way that it will appear identical upon transfer (i.e. not a document backup of the SMS, etc.). Ideally, this should be a simple process, but in searching I've yet to confidently find a solution. Some apps sound promising, but inconsistent. Others don't completely achieve my goal. I would appreciate any recommendations.
I started using Google Hangouts. Ideally, it would simply load all of my SMS/MMS with login to the new phone. However, I've read it will only do this with the Hangout messages. Is this true?
Otherwise, an ideal app/solution would simply package my SMS/MMS into a file. I open said app on my new phone, open the file, and voila.
